Arjun McAvoy, Principal
Arjun is a Santa Barbara native who graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Accounting and holds a Masters of Science in Taxation degree from Golden Gate University. Arjun has more than 20 years of experience serving the accounting needs of closely-held clients in the construction/engineering, manufacturing, retailing, insurance, professional service, and non-profit industries. Arjun’s experience includes five years with the San Francisco office of PricewaterhouseCoopers in both audit and tax compliance capacities, as well as more than ten years with two additional local CPA firms in the Bay Area and Santa Barbara.
Arjun enjoys distilling the complex areas of tax law into actionable guidance for his clients. He appreciates the complexity of more nuanced areas of business transactions and strives to keep his clients free from IRS scrutiny by making sure that tax returns are prepared as accurately as possible. This level of attention to detail also translates into providing clients with a clear picture of their financial performance and insight into more efficient transaction structures.
Outside of his professional life, Arjun is active in the ocean swimming community and serves on the boards of two local non-profit organizations.
perry chantes, enrolled agent
Perry is a Santa Barbara native and graduate of UCSB. As an Enrolled Agent, she is licensed by the United States Treasury to assist clients with all tax matters. Perry became interested in accounting when she first helped a friend get a dance business started 2008. Since then, she has worked with a variety of clients in many areas of bookkeeping, payroll, accounting and tax preparation. Perry enjoys leveraging her diverse experience to help clients better understand their financial position and promote efficient business and bookkeeping practices. Perry takes great pride when her work helps get a small business started, or enables its growth.
In her free time Perry loves singing & playing music, dancing with her two daughters, and walking on the beach with her dog.
emily bohnett, ASSociate
Emily is a 4th generation Santa Barbara native. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2010. She has been employed in the accounting field since 2008, working with restaurants, rental companies, and telecommunication companies. Her attention to detail and pursuit of perfection make her stand out in the accounting world.
When not working, she enjoys hiking in the Santa Barbara foothills and relaxing at the beach.
Daiva Zaunius, ASSociate
Born in Canada, Daiva is a long-time resident of Santa Barbara. Daiva’s career path began in health care and transitioned to accounting through course work at UCSB Extension and Santa Barbara City College. Her diverse career experience includes work for Certified Public Accountants, a construction materials company, a point of sale software company, and the County of Santa Barbara.
In her spare time, Daiva enjoys hiking, cycling, beach walks, and gardening.
